Halloween Festivities

Ok, so I'm probably the worlds worst blogger, it's just not a talent that I posses:)

For Halloween, I went with my Mom and my sister Annie and all of the kids to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out their very own pumpkins. This was a good idea in theory, but as soon as we stepped out of the car, it started to pour and at one point, even hail. So there we were, with 6 kids and wheelbarrows in hand, slipping and sliding in the mud. I think the mud made the whole trip to the pumpkin patch even more exciting, the kids had a blast (all except Jacob who went and hid in the car...whimp!)

Happy Smooch Day!

Jeremy and I had a great Valentines weekend! I was usually out of town that weekend and so we always celebrated our love (as Jeremy puts it:)) a few days before the actual day. This is the first actual Valentines day we've spent together in 3 years!

Our plan was to hang out together alone in our house on Saturday night, but since Jeremy's brother Avery is living with us and had no intentions of leaving for the night, we decided to leave and go shopping. We went to Circut City to see if they had any screaming deals and all we found were screaming kids! That was enough to add another 10 years to when we'll decide to have a baby-we are up to 15 years. Although, according to my Mom and her life plan journal, Jeremy and I will have a little girl in 2012. My Mom decided to tell us this over Sunday dinner, I think Jeremy was a little freaked out.

After shopping, we went to Rubio's for fish tacos-we lucked out, the place was dead! We had a great dinner stopped at Baskin Robins for ice cream and then we went home and watched Knocked Up. We did all of this with out ANY interuptions!

We had a great weekend together! I am so lucky Jeremy is my man! He is my rock and I'm glad I never have to be without him.

Our "Thanksgiving" Dinner

Jeremy's family usually celebrates Thanksgiving on the Friday after, but this year dinner kept getting postponed and we ended up celebrating almost two weeks later. Dinner was at our house and Jeremy and his brother just got a new video game to play. It's a boxing game called FaceBreakers and they kept nagging me to play with them:) So I finally gave it a shot and I kicked their butts!! It was great! This is Tayven eating his pumpkin pie. He is hilarious! He strikes a pose whenever he thinks he's getting his picture taken.
This is Brian's little girl Natalie. She is a doll! I would take her picture and she would come look at the screen on the camera then she would go back and pose, this is her posing! She would just stand there! She was so cute!!
Jeremy was taken with her too. We have a Memory game, and she really liked dumping out all the cards all over the floor. Brian finally got them all picked up and put them up in the hall where she couldn't reach them. Jeremy found her standing in the hall and she pulled on his pant leg and pointed up to the box, she didn't say anything just looked at him and pointed. He couldn't resist her cuteness and had to get them down for her again.

Thanksgiving

Sorry, I just found our card reader for our camera, so I am posting these pictures now...over a month later:)

Thanksgiving in our family is all about the pies. We couldn't care less about the turkey or the green bean casserole, it's the pies we all come for. Every year, the girls in our family get together on Wednesday night and make pies till midnight. We make Lemon, and pumpkin and apple and banana and coconut and any other pie we can think of. This year, we had Allie and Savannah helping!

Our third generation pie makers!!

The kids had to earn their meal by building their own chairs to eat on:)

At the kids table, Ethan and Matthew were stuffing their mouths with marshmallows. I think Matthew won.
Savannah and Allie wanted to sit next to me at the table, so Jeremy and Avery and I sat at the little kid table were the conversation went from the Jonahs brothers to Hannah Montana to silly jokes where the punchlines made no sense! Kids are so funny!
Thanksgiving was an exhausting day! Why is it that the girls always get stuck with all the cooking while the guys play video games all day? It was great having the entire family together though. It's a rare occasion when we actually have everyone together at the same time!
